Competition Information
Mu Alpha Theta State Convention
Includes ciphering competitions, written tests, a mini-interschool competition, mental math competitions, and more! Students can compete in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, or Calculus. This is the primary competition from MAθ that we participate in.
Mu Alpha Theta National Convention
The Mu Alpha Theta national convention is a summer event where students and teachers can participate in math-related activities and meet others from across the country.
Students compete in mathematical competitions at different levels, including calculus, pre-calculus, algebra II, geometry, algebra I, and statistics.
Location/Time
Mu Alpha Theta State Convention
Within the state of Tennessee. The exact location occurs in the school of the current Tennessee MAθ President and Vice President
Voting for the next President/Vice President occurs during the state convention.
Occurs around Late March or Early April.
The next MAθ State Convention will be hosted at Dobbyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport, TN.
